Night On Broadway

Night on Broadway is a free arts and music festival produced in celebration of Councilmember José Huizar’s Bringing Back Broadway economic development initiative. Like never before, Night on Broadway awakens beautiful historic theaters and the blocks between them along the Broadway corridor in Downtown Los Angeles.
L.A. is a mecca for creative talent of all kinds, and Night on Broadway is where it all shines – right in the heart of entertainment’s birthplace in Los Angeles. From emerging musical acts to national stars, artists to acrobats, and fashion designers to food trucks, Night on Broadway is all about the City of Angels.

José Huizar was elected to District 14 of City Hall of the City of Los Angeles in 2005 and re-elected with a large majority in and in what will be his last term in 2015.
Through his years of public service, Councilman Huizar has proven to be an ardent supporter of educational reform, public safety, environmental protection, and sustainable economic development. He has helped create thousands of new jobs, promoted historic preservation and created a framework to bring the much-loved streetcar back to the streets of downtown Los Angeles.
Night on Broadway takes place on Broadway in DTLA between 1st Street and Olympic which is closed to traffic for the event. Night on Broadway programs entertainment in the gorgeous, historic Broadway theatres, with all kinds of interactive art and experiences up and down the street between theatre venues. There will also be outdoor festival stages in various locations with even more musical acts. Attendees get to meander from venue to venue and experience to experience throughout this amazing Night on Broadway.

Night on Broadway is free and open for all ages. Some optional activities, such as food purchase and Ferris wheel tickets have an additional cost, but all art, performances and theatre exploration is free. Bring your friends!
