Celebrate National "Drink Wine Day"

Grab your corkscrews and your wine glasses; it’s National Drink Wine Day! Though nowadays, no one needs a reminder to drink wine.

Just in 2016, according to the Wine Institute, the United States consumed 949 million gallons* of the delicious stuff! And, who can blame us when moderate wine consumption (one to two four-ounce glasses a day)* has been known to have its health benefits.

With antioxidants and cholesterol lowering capabilities, it is no wonder why wine, in moderation, has been also known to reduce the risk of heart disease.

"But Happy Hour City, how are we supposed to celebrate?"

Great question! We hear you, we understand you, here are a few ideas:

-Grab a glass of your favorite wine or expand your palate and try one you’ve never had before.

-Stop by a local winery for a tasting or visit a wine bar with some friends.

-Study up on different varietals to impress your friends at the next shindig. You can begin by reading about the basics of wine on our What is Wine? post!

For those that love social media, post a picture of how you’re celebrating and use #NationalDrinkWineDay

(We want to see how you’re celebrating too!!! Don’t forget to tag us and use #HappyHourCity as well.)

No matter how you decide to celebrate; remember to have fun, stay safe, and drink responsibly!

Thanks for reading, and as always...

Cheers from,

Happy Hour City
